Google Ambitious Build Residential Solar

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia -- Technology giant Google to invest up to US $ 300 million or around Rp 3.8 trillion to fund the establishment of settlements by solar power.

Reuters reported, the California-based energy provider company, SolarCity Corp. plans to spend US $ 750 million for the project, in which Google accounted for almost half. Meanwhile, according to a spokesman for SolarCity, Jonathan Bass stated that US $ 450 million, the rest comes from borrowing.

Funds from Google will be used to build solar panels on homes. The homeowner will be paying a monthly rental fee panel of companies.
